Learn all the basics of fishing from an angler with 30 years of knowledge and tournament experience. Let me teach you how to catch, clean, and cook your own fish.

For Beginners:
Equipment: poles, reels, line, hooks, tackle, etc. I will help you buy all the basic necessary equipment for the type of fish you are after. From buying the correct reel to match your pole, helping pick out line type and size, purchasing lures that target the type of fish you want to catch, and choosing a tacklebox to fit your needs. Plus, basic essentials like slip bobbers, weights, and any accessories.
Rod and Reel Operation: Learn the correct way to put line on your reel. Know the basic reel parts and what they are used for. I will teach you how to set your drag appropriately.
Basics: Learn how to tie basic knots, casting techniques, setting the hook(how and when), fighting a fish without breaking your line.
Lures: Learn the best artificials(crankbaits, jigs, spoons, etc.) to use. Learn the art of slip bobbers and the best live bait for each situation. Know what works and what doesn't.
Presentation: Learn how to present your bait in the water. Know the sizes, colors, and shapes that attract fish. Paying attention to detail can payoff with big dividends by catching more fish.
Cleaning and Cooking: I will show you how to clean your catch and prepare it for cooking. Learn numerous fish cooking recipes(and my favorite) and pick the ones you like the best.
My personal best is a 26 lb. Northern Pike from a remote Canadian lake.
